Food Bank, ISA e Full Dish Campinas


The Food Municipal Bank works in Ceasa-Campinas as an instrument to fight the hunger and the waste in the city. That body collects, analyzes technically, and distributes food to 150 social assistance institutions in the city that serve around 30,000 people. The project is developed with the Municipal Secretary for Citizenship, Work, Assistance, and Social Inclusion and run by a council formed by businessmen, state authority and NGOs.

Full Dish

Since August 2005, the Food Bank has also carried a technical analysis and food baskets (a set of basic food products) distribution of Full Dish Program for Campinas City Hall. This program serves more than 6,000 families with monthly food baskets and around 60 needy neighborhoods in the city.

ISA

The Full Dish Program distributes also weekly bags of fruits and vegetables donated by Ceasa wholesalers to Instituto de Solidariedade Alimentar (ISA) located company’s headquarters. The produce donations of Ceasa accredited wholesalers are 400 tons/month that cost R$ 2.4 million per year and help 12,500 families in around 80 neighborhoods.
